RUTHIE GRAYSON (Co-Owner/Creative Director Urban Elements Salon) has been in the industry since 2002. As both a salon owner and Davines Educator she believes that continuing education is key in the development of any stylist. An artist through and through, she looks at cutting hair as a dance: “Creating shapes and seeing how they move for each individual enhances my love for this craft.” Ruthie’s has trained with the Vidal Sasson Academy in San Francisco, Redken 5th Avenue in New York, Allilon in London, the Wyatt Academy in Johannesburg, and Davines in Italy, studying with Angelo Seminara, Mazella, and Palmer. Her passion for education led her to Sally Rogerson in 2012, becoming one of the inaugural S•R Education students. She has trained in Sally’s tried and true precision cutting for Men, Women, and Creative, most recently competing the 12 month intensive S•R Education Teacher Training and Mentorship Program. She believes in the simple, modern, and efficient SRE methods as the future of haircutting education. For her, SRE is not just a program, but a culture and a family.
